Marion County Leave a Legacy Event Set for May 11 at Parkside’s Lifelong Learning Series
Hosted by Parkside’s Lifelong Learning Series, Marion County residents are invited to attend the Leave a Legacy event on Monday, May 11 at 10:00 AM at The Parkside Apartments (1 Park Avenue) in Hillsboro. This free community event is designed to help individuals and families better understand the importance of estate planning and how planned giving can make a lasting impact close to home.
This event is a collaborative effort of all Marion County affiliate foundations of the Central Kansas Community Foundation (Florence Community Foundation, Goessel Community Foundation, Hillsboro Community Foundation, and Peabody Community Foundation). By working together, the affiliates aim to provide education, conversation, and practical guidance that benefits the entire county.
Leave a Legacy is focused on answering the questions people often have as they think about wills, trusts, and future planning. Whether you are just getting started or already have plans in place, this event offers practical insights that apply at any stage of life.
Expert Panel Discussion
Attendees will hear from a panel of local and regional professionals who bring different perspectives to estate planning and charitable giving:
- Hannah Hahn, Financial Advisor with Ameriprise Financial
- Adrien Piercy, Associate Attorney with Bever Dye
- Mike Lamb, Planned Giving Consultant and retired Vice President of the Wichita State University Foundation
- Jayson Hanschu will serve as the local testamentary presenter
