Hillsboro Community Foundation Announces over $10,000 in Health Grants
The Hillsboro Community Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Health Grant Awards. These grants support projects and programs that promote healthy lifestyles, strengthen community well-being, and provide positive opportunities for residents throughout Hillsboro and Marion County.
This year’s funding will help two organizations advance initiatives that encourage physical activity, healthy choices, and stronger community connections.
City of Hillsboro Receives Support for Hike & Bike Trail Improvements
The City of Hillsboro was awarded funding for planned improvements along the Hillsboro Hike & Bike Trail. The project will enhance recreational opportunities for residents and visitors while encouraging active living for people of all ages. By investing in accessible outdoor spaces, the City continues to promote health, wellness, and quality of life throughout the community.
FACT’s Marion County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition Expands Youth Opportunities
Families and Communities Together (FACT) of Marion County received grant funding to support the work of the Marion County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition. The grant will help provide alternative youth activities across Marion County school districts, including 5th Quarter events during fall and winter sports seasons, After Prom celebrations, and other substance-free activities.
These programs give students safe, positive environments to build friendships, stay engaged in their communities, and make healthy choices. The coalition’s efforts play an important role in supporting youth well being and substance abuse prevention throughout Marion County.
