The Hillsboro Community Foundation awards grants to organizations that are recognized by the IRS as 501(c)(3) public charities, educational institutions, municipalities, or faith-based organizations. Applicants who do not meet these criteria are encouraged to collaborate with a qualified fiscal agent from one of the approved categories. Fiscal agents must be managed by reliable, ethical, and experienced personnel. All grant applications must include documentation verifying federal tax-exempt status at the time of submission.
