Hillsboro has always been strengthened by neighbors who care deeply about the future of their community. When you give to the Hillsboro Community Foundation, you’re investing in a permanent source of support that will continue to benefit Hillsboro for generations. Your gift helps preserve opportunities, address emerging needs, and build a stronger future for the people who call this community home.

During the Match Event, your generosity can have twice the impact. Thanks to a group of generous local donors, every eligible contribution will be matched dollar for dollar. Our goal is to generate at least $100,000 in charitable giving, resulting in more than $200,000 to support community needs, nonprofit organizations, and initiatives that help Hillsboro thrive for years to come.

How the Match Works

• Donate to the Hillsboro Community Foundation fund of your choice from the list below, or make an unrestricted gift to the Match Campaign.
• Every participating fund will receive a dollar for dollar match on donations received during the campaign, up to $15,000 per fund.

How to Donate

You can make online donations using the “Donate” button specific to each fund listed below, or by selecting the “General Donation” button.

For check donations, please make them payable to the Hillsboro Community Foundation and specify the desired fund in the memo field.

To be eligible for the match, all donations must be received by November 1st.

Hillsboro Community Foundation Operating Endowment To provide an ongoing source of funds for the operation and sustainability of the Hillsboro Community Foundation.

Community Funds

Donate	Hillsboro Community Arts Fund To inspire creativity, foster community, and enrich lives by promoting and supporting the diverse arts and cultural expressions that make Hillsboro a vibrant and inspiring place.
Donate	Hillsboro Community Development Fund To provide general support for Hillsboro community projects directed by the Hillsboro Development Corporation to enhance quality of life and create a strong business climate.
Donate	Hillsboro Impact Fund To provide support for Hillsboro community projects that enhance quality of life, promote well-being, and strengthen our community for all residents of the Hillsboro area.

Health Funds

Donate	Community Wellness Endowment To fund solutions for local health and wellness needs by partnering with community-based health organizations, aiming to protect and promote the health and well-being of individuals and the community. Note: Core endowment supporting the Hillsboro Community Child Care Center (H4C)
Donate	John and Delores Dalke Mental Wellness Endowment To invest in mental health initiatives that strengthen the well-being and resilience of the Hillsboro community.
Donate	Marga Ebel Health Fund To support initiatives that promote the health and well-being of children in and around Hillsboro. The fund’s primary focus is to support the Marga Ebel Dental Program within the USD 410 school district. This program offers financial assistance to families, ensuring children receive proper dental care.

Donate	Childcare Center Expendable Fund To provide financial resources for the establishment of the Hillsboro Community Childcare Center.
Donate	Lehigh City Parks Fund To beautify, create, and enhance inviting public areas of Lehigh for all to enjoy.
Donate	Hillsboro Community Library Fund To provide resources related to the Hillsboro Public Library. In particular, distributions are to support library programs, services, operations and outreach initiatives.
Donate	Hillsboro Kiwanis Opportunity Fund To nurture a compassionate and thriving community in Hillsboro and the surrounding areas, by investing in initiatives that uplift individuals and strengthen our community fabric.
Donate	Hillsboro Recreation Commission Fund To support the Hillsboro Recreation Commission’s operations, proper maintenance of all facilities, construction of new facilities, and the purchase of program equipment.
Donate	Hillsboro Senior Center Fund To provide current funds available for the support of the Hillsboro Senior Center.
Donate	Marion County 4-H Endowment Fund To provide ongoing support of Marion County 4-H activities, including education, citizenship and leadership development and other projects to help nurture the next generation of leaders, innovators, and compassionate citizens.
Donate	Parkside Homes Endowment To provide support for Parkside Homes in the areas of capital improvements, scholarships for staff enrichment and the benevolent fund.
Donate	USD 410 Early Childhood Education Endowment To nurture young minds and strengthen families by supporting early childhood education. This includes enhancing children’s readiness for school, promoting early literacy, and providing high-quality care and support.

Donate	C.M. Sextro Memorial Math Scholarship Fund To recognize and support the academic aspirations of deserving Hillsboro High School graduates who have chosen to pursue higher education paths that emphasize advanced mathematics.
Donate	Demarius Lives Scholarship Fund To recognize and reward exceptional Hillsboro High School graduates who embody strong character and demonstrate a passion for communication and journalism, as they embark on their higher education journeys.
Donate	Earl and Mary Lee Wineinger Memorial Scholarship Fund To empower the next generation of skilled workers by recognizing and rewarding deserving Marion County High School graduates who have chosen to pursue vocational education.
Donate	Free Press/Joel Klaassen Journalism Scholarship Fund To recognize and support the future journalists and media professionals of Marion County and Canton-Galva, by awarding deserving graduates of Marion County High Schools or Canton-Galva High School who are pursuing degrees in journalism or other multimedia fields.
Donate	Gehring Family Tech Scholarship Fund To empower the next generation of skilled tradespeople by recognizing and rewarding deserving Marion County High School graduates who are pursuing technical education in fields like electrical technology, HVAC, and plumbing.
Donate	Glenn and Janice Goertz Scholarship Fund To recognize and support the future business leaders of our community by awarding deserving Hillsboro and Marion High School graduates who are pursuing higher education in business.
Donate	Hillsboro High School Citizenship Award Fund To recognize and honor exceptional Hillsboro High School students who exemplify the ideals of good citizenship, as defined by the Kansas State High School Activities Association.
Donate	Hillsboro Trojan Family Memorial Scholarship Fund To award eligible Hillsboro High School graduates based on financial need, participation in school activities, and community involvement. Gifts to the fund may be made either in honor or in memory of a classmate, faculty, or staff member of USD 410.
Donate	Jayson and Jan Hanschu Family Scholarship Fund To recognize and reward exceptional Hillsboro High School graduates who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, strong character, and a commitment to their community.
Donate	John A. and Harriet Kizler Wiebe Fund for Hillsboro High School To honor the academic excellence and civic-mindedness of deserving Hillsboro High School graduates, who have demonstrated exceptional scholarship and a strong commitment to their community.
Donate	Paul Rundstrom Golf Scholarship To recognize and reward the outstanding academic achievements and exemplary citizenship of deserving Hillsboro High School graduating golf team members.
